The Descendants is a game in a very elaborated universe, the story of which we decided to start with a fairly local events developing into global action. Brief background of the events taking place in the game is as follows:
Man, who has timely warned people about the collapse of reality, was called Daniel Dole. Almost all his life, when he has already been recognized, he has devoted to the proof of chrono-hypothesis, which later became a proven theory. Only in old age Daniel had children – twins born in space on board of the ark. The first of the twins, Richard, was born with a rare and incurable disease, a kind of cosmic syndromes persecuting mankind since the incessant acceleration of the ark.
Souls and ideas – Chrono-theory also proved the existence of the soul in each person. Soul had the same source and nature as the spirit world, so the hypothesis about immortality of the soul was confirmed. Souls turned out to be the only local manifestation of the spirit world in the present reality. Locality of the soul, on the one hand, made it unequal to the spirit world, and on the other hand, was the basis of material reality. That has fundamentally contrasted human to the existing reality and made it possible to learn it at the perfect level. In other words, according to the chrono-theory, everyone has a part of the absolute timeless reality of the spirit world.
Meanwhile chrono-theory gave people an answer about the nature of reality, finally separating the material world and the spirit world. Chrono-theory proved that the nature of reality is the compromise result of interaction of two completely different states of reality: the world of inert and motionless matter, driven and manifested by gravitation of unstable and innumerable phenomenal ideas that have their source in the spirit world.
United zero space is not really a certain seamless area connecting dozens of galaxies. Central chrono-engines can cover a few galaxies with zero space. However, not all space included in such a huge range covering millions of light-years at the same time permeates zero field. Central chrono-motors, unlike HEVA, do not possess such computing power and energy. They are configured to operate over long distances, but this action is local. The central chrono-core at regular intervals manifests zero state alternately at all points of its coverage area with the aim to scan the space for signs of a third-party zero space to merge into a single zone. In other words, the central chrono-core acts as a scanner, distributing its power and supporting some tunnels from zero space, piercing the most important, in terms of logistics, space areas with its threads.
Even before its activation central chrono-core is fully functional, and is terraforming nearby worlds for extension of the colony. Nevertheless, it can not be found by original colonists’ science prior to their activation. The development of the colony is originally held in the territory pierced with manifested zero space. Zero space has not affected the life of a developing society, but those anomalies which arose as a result of manifestation of zero space have implicit significant impact on the lives of people and society as a whole. Anomalies have magnified following the entry of the colony to the united zero space that connected the nations of the descendants from different time layers of reality.
One way or another the descendants can obtain access to the payment system in the binary currency maintained by HEVA engine, and can therefore use a special carbon interface giving access to the timeless idea store provided by the operators of the ark. Officially, access to source of sacred technologies have the national dynasties of rulers exclusively, who, according to the approved authorization profile, share the right to use a key to the central chrono-engine with a plurality of representatives and heads of state industry and science fields. But there is another form of use of the timeless store prohibited by the act of apostates.
Central chrono-engine demanded a powerful source of energy to carry out simultaneous terraforming of many worlds. HEVA has automatically evolved the necessary amount of binary matter so that central engine could recreate hosts of nano-generators in stellar systems redirecting the energy of the star to the planet plunging it the energy field. The process required so much energy that nano-generators looking like gold dust occupied the entire space of the stellar system creating a narrow free tunnel from star to colonized planet to provide it with a natural light. The parent colony planet continued to terraform in the same way until the activation of the central chrono-engine. Entry into the era of super-observers was marked by the fact that the sky over the colony, which was flooded with a golden glow during the millennia night, cleared away, nano-generators disappeared, and people could begin to explore the space.
HEVA, which has collected all the chrono-achievements of mankind, the most powerful, but not the only chrono-engine in the universe. Some simplified versions of chrono-engines were also available to descendants, which were originally summoned by founding fathers of the colonies. Since only a manifested zero space allowed the mind to move through the levels of reality and transform the thin material into the rough one, and vice versa, the forefathers had to pass an incredible test to sow the seeds of human society in a hostile and distant space. Having discovered a planet suitable for colonization and terraforming, sowers spent hundreds of thousands of years to create the conditions for their manifestation beyond zero space in the form of organic beings.
People are vested with the brute matter, but using chrono-technology they have learned to use and study the subtle matter partly, which is a kind of willful concept, a prototype of brute matter. However, it has become possible due to the discovery of zero space, where people on the brink of death realized that reality depends solely on them, not only at the quantum, but on all other levels of reality.
Scientific and technological progress and unification of lifestyle have created optimal conditions for life and peace of the mankind, but the golden era has not last long. Prosperity was infringed by the effect of the reality collapse, the causes of which have not been explained by science. Subsequently, there appeared theories explaining the collapse of the reality by the behavior of the people themselves, but they were just theories. A flat universe has been dropping into some abnormal condition not amenable to study, expanding from the center toward the visible event horizon of the universe.
